Speaker: Todd Allen, President Radarview/UCT

Todd Allen is President of Radarview LLC headquartered in Houston, TX serving the southern and mid-western U.S. His background includes 25 years in the petrochemical industry and is an honorably discharged US Navy veteran. Mr. Allen is a published author and has frequently presented for engineering and trade associations.

Topic: Non-Destructive Testing/Evaluation of Concrete and Masonry Structures

Non-Destructive Testing/Evaluation involves the use of multiple technologies and methodologies. The right application is essential to provide engineers with valuable information to make informed decisions with regards to evaluating modification, retrofit, construction errors, damage, & deterioration in concrete and masonry structures. While technology can be great, using well thought out methods of applying the technologies is the key to providing information of value. This presentation will show practical case study examples of various applications. Most engineers and contractors will surely recall a project where the techniques and results shown could have solved problems. The technologies presented include: Electromagnetic methods, Sonic/Ultrasonic Methods, Electrical methods, Visual, and in-situ Strength Testing.
