We will describe the ICRI, ASTM, and ACI codes and standards that address shotcrete placement for structural concrete and repair. Finally, we’ll address the benefits of certification of shotcreters (formerly nozzlemen) and shotcrete inspectors, and the need for qualified shotcrete contractors.

  2. Recognize ACI shotcrete reference materials and other Industry standards pertaining to acceptable shotcrete placement.
  3. Understand the standards provisions for shotcrete placement in structural concrete
  4. Appreciate the need for certified shotcreters and inspectors, as well as qualified shotcrete contractors.
